Founded in June 2023 with the mission of "Make every device its own intelligence", Shanghai RockAI Artificial Intelligence Technology Co., Ltd.(RockAI) launched Yan 1.0 LLM as China's first LLM with non-attention mechanism in January 2024 and Yan 1.2 LLM as China's first on-device multimodal LLM deployed on Raspberry Pi at 2024 WAIC Conference in July. Furthermore, RockAI upgraded Yan 1.3 LLM and released it to the public officially with real demonstrations of on-device AI in Sep.2024. The Yan 1.3 with non-transformer can efficiently process multimodal information including text, image, and voice, and can be deployed on multiple devices such as Raspberry Pi, robots, uavs, mobile phones and computers. Currently, RockAI has submitted over 50 patent applications, covering core aspects in large model including model structure design, algorithm improvement, pre-training and post-training.
Our Team
RockAI's founding team, driven by the limitations of transformer in computational efficiency and long-sequence processing, as well as their commitment to innovation in foundational architecture , has dedicated themselves to researching non-transformer architecture. Our team has developed the Yan architecture , which is China's first LLM with non-transformer architecture and non-attention mechanism, and has been filed with the Cyberspace Administration of China. Focusing on social and commercial value, RockAI is committed to implementing on-device AI applications.
